Aston Martin burn rubber to celebrate their new facility

£65 million worth of Aston Martin burning rubber in an abandoned hanger

Aston Martin have decided to celebrate the redevelopment of their new site in St Athan, Wales. The site formally owned by the M.O.D, is set to become Aston Martin’s second manufacturing facility in the country. What better way to celebrate than to burn rubber in £65 m illion worth of Aston Martin. The video produced by Aston Martin sees Racing’s World Endurance Championship drivers, Darren Turner and Nicki Thiim, along with Aston Martin Chief Engineer, Matt Becker, driving a selection of spectacular cars from Aston’s history.

What more could you ask for?

Ranging from the sedate Cygnet to the insane Vulcan, the trio burn rubber in a film akin to one of Ken Blocks Gymkhana master classes. Aston Martin celebrate their history, showing off the glorious DB5 alongside James Bonds newest car the DB10. The finale for the film gives us a glimpse at the new Aston Martin and Red Bull racing project, the Valkyrie. It also featured the high riding crossover, the DBX.  The DBX is a secret project I think will be the replacement for the current Vantage, judging by the cars size and shape. We’ll likely see something soon on the new project, but for now we will just have to bask in the glorious noise of £65 million worth of Aston Martin.
