Back from the Future – Aston Martin Lagonda
You have to go way back to the mid-Seventies to understand where this car has come from. William Towns original AM Lagonda stunned the public with his futuristic, wedge shaped Lagonda and still to this day grabs attention at car shows around the world. The latest incarnation promises to do the same!
Aston Martin have been out in the heat sweating down a pre-production mule for the ‘hot weather testing’ – checking out how the engine/body/interior (and air-con!) all perform when the temperatures soar. Even though this is standard testing for most modern cars, AM will also be eyeing it’s performance for it’s mainly Middle Eastern clientele – as the Lagonda will be sold by invitation only and will cost a pretty-penny or two
No performance figures have been released but it will be in the V12 region meaning that with AM’s current chassis and a bit of Carbon Fibre bodywork, the big four-door beast should be good for 200mph! All of this in one sleek, sexy body promises to be some package. We’ll keep you posted when more details emerge
