Ferrari 312B: The Greatest Ferrari Formula One Car

Ferrari 312B Follows The Journey Of A Legend On Its Way Back To The Track

There are two names that are synonymous with motorsport, Ferrari and Formula One, it’s impossible to think of one without the other. The most legendary Ferrari F1 car is of course the 312B, a car that revolutionised the sport and changed the game for years to come. The 312B led Ferrari to victory in 37 Grand Prix and claimed 4 constructors titles and 3 drivers titles along the way.

The legendary status of the 312B has led Italian ex-F1 racing driver Paulo Barilla to bring the 312B back to the track one more time at the Montecarlo race track for the historic rally. The film Ferrari 312B follow the journey of Barilla as he hands the 312B back to its creator Mauro Forghieri and his team to be restored from the ground up. The film also talks to the likes of Sir Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Damon Hill and more to look back at a time where, “a trust in mechanics was all you needed to face death”.

Ferrari 312B looks not only at the glory days of Formula One but also at the technology that drove the sport forward, the 312B was the first F1 car to feature a horizontally opposed V12 engine, the first flat engine in the sport. That engine led drivers Clay Reggazoni and Jackie Ickx to claim four race wins and fight for the title right to the very end, and now 46 years after its debut it makes its return to the racing world.
