Jaguar Reveals the F-Pace ahead of Frankfurt

Jaguar previews the F-Pace ahead of Frankfurt

Jaguar has released an image of the final shape for the F-Pace, before its official unveiling on the eve of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The F-Pace hasn’t changed much since the reveal of the C-X17 concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Engines

Not much has been revealed about engines for the F-Pace, however a performance version with a 3.0 supercharged V6 has been spotted in spy shots. Also expect to see 2.0-litre versions of the F-Pace along with a 5.0 litre V8 R version in the future. The F-Pace is said to share some of its architecture with the F-type sports car. Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover global operations director, said they chose the F-pace name to emphasise the relationship between the two cars.

F-Pace Rivals

As you can see the F-Pace won’t be taking on the Paris-Dakar anytime soon as it’s clearly yet another SUV for the inner city, expect footballers wives and upper-class mums to go crazy for it. The F-Pace is set for production in Jaguars Solihull plant alongside the new XE and the XF saloons. The F-Pace is expected to cost upwards of £35,000 and will likely be going up against the likes of the Range Rover Evoque, Porsche Macan and the BMW X4. The F-Pace will be available in 2016.
