It’s not easy to combine reasonable pricing with incredible on and off-road capabilities but the all-new Wrangler (the 2.2 MultiJet II 200hp 4×4 Automatic 8-Speed 2-Door) has done just that. It has a starting price of £44,865 along with a ‘Go Anywhere, Do Anything’ ethos.
This new model thrives in almost any condition, from city streets to country lanes, right through to full off-road conditions. You can equip your new Jeep with a variety of options including two four-wheel systems – Command-Trac and Rock-Trac – plus Tru-Lock electric front- and rear-axle lockers, limited slip differential and electronic front anti-roll bar disconnect.
New Features
The MY19 Wrangler has received a huge amount of updates from the previous model starting with all-new styling to give it a fresh look, the interior has also been updated improving storage capacity. New engines have also been introduced to this generation – a 2.2-litre turbo diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol – with fuel-saving Engine Stop Start (ESS) capabilities.
A Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen system with Apple and Android support has been installed in the centre console, accompanied by blind-spot monitoring technology and a reversing camera for good measure.
The Four-wheel Drive System
The 4×4 system has four driving mode options ranging from 2H which signifies Two-Wheel Drive High Range, 4H AUTO (this setting provides Full-Time Active On-Demand High Drive), 4H Part-Time engages the Part-Time Four-Wheel Drive High Range mode and finally 4L – Full-time Four-Wheel Drive Low Range. Neutral is also available.
