It is no secret that Ferrari will make the California the first turbocharged Prancing Horse since the legendary F40, but now more details have come to light. According to Motor Trend, sources in Maranello claim the 2015 California will be powered by a twin-turbo V8, similar in design to Maserati‘s unit but with all-Ferrari components.
There is no word on whether the California will get more than Maserati’s 523bhp and 479 lb-ft of torque, but it will certainly improve upon the current model’s naturally aspirated V8’s figures of 483bhp and 372 lb-ft.
