Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid: Power and Economy

The Ugly Duckling Gets A Big Power Boost

Porsche have decided that their premium four-door saloon just isn’t bonkers enough. The Panamera, whilst not being the best looking car, has managed to win over drivers with its incredible drivability and luxurious interior. The standard Panamera is still pretty quick, even going up against its sportier 911 brother. But, somehow, Porsche has decided it’s just not quick enough. So they’ve added an electric motor to boost the power and torque figures. Now, the 4-litre V8 engine and an electric motor provide an incredible 680BHP and an astonishing 850Nm of torque.

Electric Mobility Is Important To Porsche

Clearly taking lessons from the 918 hyper car, the new Panamera Hybrid is able to go from 0-62MPH in 3.4 seconds. It goes further to a top speed of 192MPH. Teamed with the 8 speed gearbox and hybrid power, the V8 engine is  capable of an amazing 97MPG. Furthermore, it can drive on solely electric power for up to 30 miles. Porsche say the Panamera E-Hybrid underlines the importance of electric mobility to Porsche.
