COVID And Lockdowns Can’t Keep This Mercedes Dealership Down

The past year and a half have no doubt been some of the most challenging periods that mankind’s ever faced in a long time. The effects of the coronavirus are felt globally, across all walks of life. Yet, in a display of perseverance and a stiff upper lip, LSH Auto’s Mercedes-Benz of Stockport has just had a record second year. That’s despite all the challenges in the last 18 months.

Stockport, of course, is LSH’s top-of-the-line dealership facility and was only just unveiled in August 2019. It’s safe to say that for most of its lifespan thus far, this state-of-the-art three-storey facility has been rather quiet. Nonetheless, it quickly became the most popular place to buy or service your Mercedes-Benz in the North West.

Record Sales All Around

In the last 12 months, Mercedes-Benz of Stockport, even under lockdown, for the most part, saw its business soar. The sales of new cars rose by 47% YoY, while used car sales had an increase of 72%. A ravishing appetite from consumers for a new car to join their household isn’t the only source of these outstanding figures. Martyn Webb, the Managing Director of LSH Auto, said:

Mercedes-Benz of Stockport has had a fantastic first two years of trading. I’m proud of our team who have worked incredibly hard to overcome the challenges of the global pandemic over the past 18 months. Our ongoing commitment to delivering the best possible service to our customers has put us in good shape and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow the business into 2022.

More Than Just A Showroom

That said, Mercedes-Benz of Stockport is more than just a fancy showroom for Benzes. Although, its retail spaces are quite the five-star experience. Aside from its showrooms, they have more than 30 workshops and two MOT testing bays. Adding to this, Stefan Bowett, the new Dealer Principal of Mercedes-Benz of Stockport, said:

In addition to the sales growth that we’ve achieved this year, our aftersales team have delivered significant growth and our high-tech body, paint and repair centre has continued to support customers in getting their vehicles back on the road and looking as good as new.

Mercedes-Benz of Stockport isn’t stopping there, either. Back in 2019, they launched a new fully digital platform for customers to browse around with. From their home, they could book for a test drive, or purchase a car online. They could then opt for a ‘click and collect’, or home delivery for their shiny new Merc.
