Offering excellent mileage and outstanding performance on wet and dry, Goodyear has launched its latest Summer SUV tyre, the EfficientGrip 2 SUV.
“SUVs represent a growing proportion of the European car park. We are proud to be launching this latest product that takes SUV drivers further while offering them the performance they are looking for,” – Piotr Nagalski, Director of Marketing for Goodyear Europe.
In 2020, 37% of total new vehicles sales in Europe were SUV’s. This is set to increase to 47% by 2025. SUV drivers especially look for excellent braking and grip on wet roads when purchasing tyres.
New Features
The EfficentGrip 2 SUV comes with a variety of innovative features that not only increases mileage but elevates the level of performance.
- A 25% improvement in mileage, an update from the EfficientGrip SUV3, thanks to Goodyear’s mileage plus technology and offers high tread elasticity and flexibility, resulting in less fractures from rough road conditions over a wide range of temperatures.
- Shorter braking on wet surfaces due to an increase in longer gripping edges combined with lower compound stiffness, which improves water evacuation.
- Shorter dry braking because of more contact surface and larger ribs at the center of the tread.
Between January 2021 and February 2022, an impressive line of 52 new SKU’s tyres will be introduced, with sizes ranging from 16-inch to 22-inch.
